Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth. It's an alternative to traditional braces that are more noticeable. Invisalign aligners are custom-made for each patient and are designed to be worn for about 20-22 hours a day, with the flexibility to remove them for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Here's how the Invisalign process generally works:

Consultation: You start with a consultation with an orthodontist or dentist who is trained in providing Invisalign treatment. They will assess your teeth and bite to determine if you're a suitable candidate for Invisalign.

​Treatment Plan: If Invisalign is a good option for you, the dentist or orthodontist will create a personalized treatment plan. They might use physical impressions, digital scans, and x-rays to create a 3D model of your teeth.

​Custom Aligners: Based on the treatment plan, a series of custom aligners are created. Each set of aligners is designed to gradually move your teeth closer to their desired positions. You'll typically wear each set of aligners for around 1-2 weeks before moving on to the next set.

​Regular Check-ups: Throughout the treatment, you'll have regular appointments with your provider to monitor your progress and receive new sets of aligners.

Wearing Aligners: You wear the aligners for the prescribed amount of time each day, typically 20-22 hours. You remove them when you eat, drink (except for water), brush, and floss.

Switching Aligners: As you progress through the series of aligners, you'll notice your teeth gradually moving. You'll switch to a new set of aligners as directed by your provider.

​Treatment Completion: Once you've gone through all the aligner sets, your treatment will be complete. However, some cases might require refinement aligners to perfect the results.

​Retainers: After completing the active Invisalign treatment, you'll likely need to wear retainers to maintain your new smile. These can be removable or fixed, depending on your provider's recommendation.
